Excellent Brought our mother here for 2 nights for her birthday. Couldn't fault one thing about our stay. Have to give a huge mention to Martha in reception, she is just brilliant. She organised Prosecco and birthday balloons for the room and a cake for the dinner. Everything was top quality, food, staff, room and hotel itself. Luke in the bar was so obliging and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Situated just off eyre square and beside the train station which is so handy.

Nice hotel in a great location We only stayed one night in Galway but wish we had more time. This hotel is in a great location. Short walk through Eyre Square to the Spanish Quarter. Great shops and tons of pubs/restaurants.
The hotel room was fairly small but was well appointed and good for me and my kid. The beds were a bit soft but comfortable enough. The staff were friendly and the attached bar and cafe were very nice. The closest parking garage was about a five minute walk away which was great. The elevator is very slow so be patient. All in all, it was a nice stay and I would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely stay My mum booked this hotel as a suprise for my birthday. On arrival we where greeted by a very friendly receptionist, she is definitely in the right position as she is a people person and very welcoming.
The room was very basic and although I personally would change one or two things the room was warm and clean and the bed was comfy so I would much rather that in a room.
We ate in the bar, again very friendly staff very comfy and the food was out of this world. It was gorgeous and so flavoursome.
It's in a perfect location and I would definitely stay again.
The only complaint I had was the parking is a nightmare. I'd definitely have to do my homework next time as the parking is stressful.

Fantastic Experience - Staff went above and beyond! My partner and I booked a post Christmas / NYE holiday in Galway. The Eyre Square hotel looked like a perfect location - and it was. I read some of the reviews before we arrived, and asked that we be placed in a room toward the back of the hotel (away from any street noise). Turns out the street is very quiet, on the square. We were placed at the back of the hotel though, and the room was perfect. It was renovated, just like the photos. The staff were warm and welcoming. On the day we arrived my partner napped for a bit (we were grateful to be able to check in a bit early) while I went out to explore. The next day, we did sleep in a bit, getting adjusted to the time zone change. Housekeeping left us a lovely little arrangement of sheets, towels, coffee and tea -outside the door, so to not disturb us. The bartender at the hotel bar was great to chat with in the evenings when we came back from exploring. One very interesting and cool feature was there was a series of doors (soft closing and heavy doors) along the hallway from our elevator to our room. It really helped make the hallway quiet - I literally did not hear another person the entire time we were there. Upon checking out and getting to Dublin to make our way home, I realized I left a necklace behind. I called and the front desk quickly checked with housekeeping, who had not found anything. I was beside myself, as it was a necklace my mother wore. She passed away last Spring and I was wearing it a lot the past few months. I emailed the hotel, asking if they would be willing to seach the dumpster or wherever it may have been thrown away (it was very small / thin and in a small envelope that could have been easily mistaken for trash). Within an hour or so, the hotel called and emailed to say they found it! I don't know which staff member found it or how deep of a dumpster dive they had to do - but I do know that any hotel willing to go that far above and beyond has my loyalty for life. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Galway, and I hope this review convinces someone else to select the Eyre Square Hotel. Perfect location, great rooms, and amazing service!

Great old hotel with really good breakfast. The parking was hard to find since all downtown streets are one way. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Glorious old bar and the breakfasts were hot and delicious. Centrally located with lots of great pubs and shopping. Room was small but enough for our needs. Fine hotel.

Central location Rooms are spotlessly clean and small but have all essentials. Very central for shopping and Christmas markets. Breakfast was buffet style with good range and choice of hot and cold foods.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Parking is short distance away and hotel offers discounted rates

Great City Location Travelled as part of a group of 5. Just as advertised room on top floor as requested. Very comfortable bed and a great shower. Room did get warm at times but large fan already provided in room. Great location just off eyre square. Very clean and comfortable room. Could hear the alarm on the lifting barrier from the bus depot just up the road for a few seconds from early morning but went right back to sleep. Lovely breakfast the following morning. Discounted car park located 5 minutes away in the shopping centre €16 per 24 hours. Helpful staff checked with housekeeping when a member of the party thought they had left glasses behind thankfully located elsewhere.
